The History of Glideaway
Glideaway is a family-owned company headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri that has been manufacturing and distributing bedding products for over 50 years. Originally founded as The Fredman Brothers Furniture Company, the first Glideaway patent was the first metal slatless rail system developed by Harry Fredman in the 1950’s. Since then, Glideaway has produced several other patents on rail and center support systems.
In the early 1990’s the Fredman family decided to expand their product line to include other bedding products including memory foam mattresses, pillows, and protectors. Today Glideaway has numerous bedding categories, ready to ship from several warehouse locations across the nation.
