Features and Benefits
Why is latex in some of your pillows?
Latex foam is a durable, allergen resistant, antimicrobial, and dust mite resistant. It features an open cell structure, allowing more room temperature air to flow through it and removing the heat away from your body. Latex foam also conforms to your unique body shape and weight. This combination of contoured comfort and support makes latex foam a popular choice.
Are mattresses and pillows that contain latex safe for allergy sufferers?
It depends. Buyers with a known allergy should make the decision based on their experience and physician guidelines. Today, latex mattresses and pillows are safe for use, even by allergy sufferers.
Latex allergies are only activated through skin contact, which will not occur with Glideaway products.
Will my Glideaway pillow smell or “Off-Gas” when opened?
Glideaway pillows made with premium memory foams. Off-gassing is limited or non-existent. Some customers notice a mild scent upon unboxing new memory foam products.
This scent is from new vacuum packed foams and not from chemicals. It should dissipate quickly in a well-ventilated room.
How do I clean my pillow and pillow cover?
For memory foam pillows, wash the outer cover in warm water with mild detergent on a gentle cycle and air dry. Do not dry clean, bleach, or use with any bleach by-products. Do not machine wash or machine dry the foam pillow. If the foam pillow becomes soiled, spot clean with a sponge and mild detergent, rinse with a clean sponge, gently squeeze the remaining water out, and air dry. Do not use excessive water to clean the foam.
For fiber pillows, machine wash on normal wash cycle. Tumble dry on low with other linens. Do not bleach or use with any bleach by-products, as it will void your warranty. Do not iron or dry clean.
